One of the many things we have done to increase the understanding of number is to purchase new resources. These boys had to be first to connect the thousand new links.

Friday 26th of October was Bandana Day to raise money for Can Teen. Quite a few children supported the worthy cause.

For our BOOK WEEK assembly we dressed as book characters. Most people dressed up and it was great fun.

An important part of BOOK WEEK is our Book Fair. Putting all of the books on display for everyone to choose from is a big job.

We started third term with a group of eager Peer Mediators from years six and seven. All of these children completed a training program last term.

The morning of the fifth of July was a very cold morning. Some of our children were almost able to skate on the ice on the oval.

To start our celebration of WA Week and World Environment Day we visited the zoo on Tuesday 5 June. Ninety nine children and eleven staff enjoyed a cool, sunny day, with most of the animals out to be seen.

We finished the week with each class planting two trees for our future pleasure.

We began second term looking at the Centenary of Federation. All of our children were presented with a special medallion to commemorate the event.
![]()
All classes made wreaths for our ANZAC service and they looked very professional.

Everyone had great fun making a whirlpool after the final swimming lesson. Following the lessons 104 cerificates were handed to the children. Over half of them passed the stage they were working on.

The final stage of the swimming program is the Kwinana Schools Interschool Carnival which was held on 23 March. Eighteen of our children took part and gave their best.
